    93 - 94 Blazer

I'm wanting a 2nd vehicle, to have here for the winters in south Texas. Always liked the looks of those Blazers. 2 door, 4 wd, not lifted, just basic stock. Fits the bill for a daily driver here, and to take out on the beach at South Padre surf fishing. I don't know much about em, reviews say the engine and tranny were weak ?? Any info on whats good / bad with these models is appreciated/ Thanx

The 90's were not the best years for engines with increasing EPA regulations. Heck, a modern V-6 is stronger in horsepower but not as good on torque.

The problem is finding a really good early 90's Blazer. I just seldom see one of that vintage that's really nice enough to consider a reliable 2nd vehicle. If kept nice in condition, you cannot wear'em out.

really weak front diff, 10 bolt rear also. thermal couple activated front end, easy fix though with a cable. parts are readily available.
