A gen 3 19 is near bulletproof! Don't get it wet, they multiply.

Mine didnt multiply, but a tiny version (G43) popped up about a year later haha. Also had a G22 that was great but the G19 is my favorite to shoot.

Bought a G19 the year they were introduced in the US market. Caught a lot of crap from buddies about my Tupperware gun. A lot of those guys are now shooting Glocks and other "plastic" pistols. The G19 is the best pistol on the market for my preference and shooting style. A Gen 4 is on my shopping list...

Just be happy your wife never had to use a .380 to begin with. Maybe i'm jumping to conclusions. Did you buy it so she could use it as a hammer?

A lot of FTE with Glocks occur because of limp wristing, it can be worse with the light caliber/loads also. I can make my G19 FTE (stovepipe) by limp wristing it badly and it still wont every time, ususally have to fire a few in a row that way to get a failure

I had several Glocks back when they first became popular but, just couldn't get comfortable with the blocky grip. But, now the Gen 3 Glocks have improved that so it would probably work for me. But, in the meantime I've bought several S&W M&Ps and really love them. My go-to gun is my M&P 45.

I carried a Glock on duty my entire career and they just work when needed. They aren't pretty but they will keep on rockin as long as you need it to. I love all kinds of guns but if I was fixing to get in a situation, I'm grabbing my Glocks.

How many people have you shot with a .380 that it didn't stop?

How many people have you shot with a .380 that stopped them? I guess i will just hold and share my opinion same as you. Wintertime would be a terrible time to depend on a .380. You can do your own research.

Of course, in a perfect world every attacker would be a 150lb crackhead that a .380 would deal bad medicine.

Ammo has come a long Way. I just bought a 9mm and I feel if need be it would handle whatever I needed it to. I think a 380 with ammo and shot placement would be fine. To me it's all about how many lethal rounds you can put in a person.
