    Under seat auxiliary fuel tank.

In an owners manual that I have, there is a reference to an optional 20 gallon auxiliary fuel take that is mounted under the drivers and passengers seat. Do any of you have a boat that is outfitted this way? If so, would you be kind enough to post any appropriate pictures of such a tank. My boat does not have one, but I an thinking about trying to retrofit it for one. I am assuming that Mueller made the auxilliary tanks since hey made the main tank. By the way my boat is a 2002 193 dual console.

I suspect this retro fit would involving removing entire top cap and changes to the interior hull.... IF it can even be done. Not a simple task.

I'd contact C&O and see what they say.

It would be a very painful endeavor nice thought, but not really realistic to do

I would like to see a picture the first chance you get. I have got a hard headed streak and I don't doubt that it will be a pain in the rear. I just want to see for myself what I am looking at.

Mine has one, but there is nothing to see under the seats. I think there is a plastic plug of some kind under the center seat, ive never pulled it to see whats under it. Sending unit for gauge maybe? I wish i had storage instead lol

Mine has a cooler built in under the center seat. I am used to fishing out of a bay boat and this champion has more storage than I could ever use. What I don't like is the tiny little fuel tank. I think mine is only 47 gallons. That is about 1/3 the fuel I would like to carry. Old habits die hard. I remember back in my high school days I fished out of a 14 ft Jon boat w/ 15hp Evinrude. I never backed down the ramp with less than three 6 gallon portable tanks in the boat.

47 gallons will take you 120 miles easy. Not a lake in texas you'd need more.

I have a 1993 190 DCX Elite with a spare tank under the seat, there is nothing to take a picture of. It is solid under the seat except for an access plug for the fuel gauge sending unit.
There would be no way to install one without removing the cap or cutting the seating section out. I am in Longview Texas if you want to look for your self.

I could firewall an XB from Diablo to the rio grande shoal water on amistad which is the longest run with the thirstiest motor and still have plenty left in the tank.

I agree with you Pat, my 93 190DCX with 200 Mariner Super Magnum and aux. tank carries 50 gallons and spend most of its life on Amistad and never ran out of fuel.
From Diablo ramp to The Pecos river is well over 50 miles, is there a lake in Texas with a longer run?

You *could* run further on Toledo Bend if you took off from the dam to the river bank, but since most tournaments take off midlake, not really possible.

I put in at six mile one morning and stopped at bubbling wells to catch drum for a little while on my way up to a few spots just on the other side of Logansport and then came back down. I was running a Yamaha 150 four stroke and 50 gallons almost didn't do the trick. Near as I can figure that was a 160 to 170 mile day on Toledo Bend.

The answer is that I am not a pure bass fisherman. I would rather be down at the coast fishing for specks and reds. I just like to fish and will try to catch anything that will pull on my line. A fourteen to sixteen hour day on the water is not uncommon for me. I cover a lot of water and am used to having the fuel to do it. This Champion is a first for me in a couple of ways. It is my first fiberglass bass boat and my first boat that will be rigged out strictly for tournament fishing. My best friend's youngest son tricked me into being a boat captain for him in a high school bass association and I fell in love with the competition. I am on my third year captaining for the high school kids and don't plan on stopping anytime soon. I got my hands on a bass boat in an effort to give my team every competitive advantage possible. My bay boat is a capable fishing platform, but it is not a bass boat. I have some good help, but am learning this as I go. I am sure I am gonna make a few mistakes along the way. I still need to learn how to drive the old girl to what she is capable of giving me...

If you are still intent on adding a second tank contact a local glass shop and see if it can be done fairly easily. With the cooler in the middle I'd say probably not.

I looked at mine there is nothing to see.the cooler holes you talk about are filled in only plastic caps for sending units are visible.behind the fuel tank is the live wells.there is nothing to even take a picture of.the cap would have to be removed to see it.its a 18 gallons
