Generic Reversing Relay vs. Power Pole Reversing Relay Box

Is there anything special about the reversing relay module that Power Pole manufactures?

I can pick up a 75amp continuous draw/150amp surge reversing relay for a fraction of the cost of a reversing relay module through power pole and just fuse the load side with the correct 30 amp inline fuse.

Any reason why I would regret doing this?

This is for an old 8' Sportmans with the older style Parker pump.

    Thanks!

It's hard to tell. It may work and it may take a dump at any time...

I can say that not all relays are created equal. I know of (2) Jack Plate brands which both use a relay pack. Brand A has issues with burnt out relays. Brand B I can't say I have ever had an issue with a relay pack...
