184 F/S Rod Locker Seats

Any one ever order a new set of these from Deans? I called them but they can't get me an estimate right away. Any idea what a set of these would cost?

I had an upholstery shop make my replacements. Can't remember the cost but I wasn't happy. Converted to solid lids now it is a dual console with a deck insert in the middle.

I actually don't have them now. I have the tall f/S style lockers that don't have pads. I was thinking about putting in the low lids with seats to make the boat more family friendly.

Just measure the locker lid sizes and have an upholstery shop make you up the pad with snaps or velcro to keep them in place. That was an option on the DCB boats. Take them out when you want to fish and snap them back in for fun time!

Well, I was trying to order some for my 201 from him. Got one reply to the initial email saying he still had the specs for them, but hasn't answered any emails regarding price, or delivery. Been 1 1/2 weeks now and about 4 emails gone unanswered. I'm practically deaf, so using a phone is out for me. I'll check local upholsterer too. If you get a quote from Dan though, shoot me a PM if you would.

I have emailed Deans several times regarding seats for my 1989 176 and have never gottin an answer...im thinking a phone call or have someone call the for you is in order..im only about 2 hours from them so i might make a road trip...lol

I have an 1987 184 and I priced the seats when I rebuilt it 5 years ago...............$350.00 if I remember right!!!
I just went with a complete casting deck instead!!!

What did you end up doing?

I spoke with someone that knows "Deans" apparently Dean is not in the business, Son Took it over, and his brother broke away in to TOM's Brother made him sign a non-compete agreement for 10 years, well apparently, that has now expired. Tom is really competitive, I'm going to do some research... I'm not happy with a 750.00 price for a new set of 3 seats for our 83.
