Got a new boat with a 112 MK and the arrow is off aligned from the motor, how do I correct it?

If the arrow isn't pointing in the direction of the motor, take the top off and you'll see the indicator post where the arrow runs. It will have 4 tabs on that post. In between that post and the steering pinion is a white gear. You will need to release the tension on the steering (that is done with a screw in the front, under the cable entrance, of the footpedal) and lift up slightly on the cable drum. Then you can lift the white gear enough to turn it buy itself. when you turn it, you'll notice the indicator post turning. move it til on set of tabs are lined up with the lower unit, then re-engage the white gear, push the steering pinion down and tighten the steering. To put the top on, it's easier to pop the arrow out of the top, replace the top, then pop the arrow in so the slots go over the tabs and it's pointing the direction you need.
