Daily rpms
When I first got my Optimax the tech said run it wide open for 5 minutes on every trip to help keep carbon buildup down. Later he said at least 5000 rpms for 5 minutes. Still later as he had worked on more he said 4000 was enough.
I have a 2016 250 Verado. It has 24 hours on it. I am reaching the time of year when I motor only a mile or two and it is often in the 30s. I run Quick Kleen and Quick Care in the gasoline. Is there any kind of minimum rpms that I should know about?

Good idea to run the engine for 5-10 minutes in the range where it gets it's best CRUISING fuel economy. That's where it runs the CLEANEST... so if you're trying to keep carbon/deposit levels down, that's the best place to run it.
Normally going to be in the 3500-5400 RPM range, depending on your setup.

Thanks. It will be above 3500 every outing but lots of times 5 minutes will be the longest run of the day as weather the gets colder.
