When I first started bass fishing the most common boat size in our club was 17.5ft. Mostly Ranger 354v's with 150's. So these "little" boats have always appealed to me on a purely nostalgic level. However there is something to be said for these smaller boats when you fish skinny water too. The Z6 and new Z17 will get into water that the Z8's and Z9's only wished they could. Lol

I currently own a '97 700LX DC (17'3") w/ 120 HP Tracker. Depending on the price, features, and fit this may be my next boat.

Earlier on this thread it was quoted around 26500 with the 115 ProXS.

Just got my BPS catalog today. They have it listed and priced just above $25K.

I'm not familiar with the ProXS Command Thrust. Time to read up.

    From Mercurys website

The Command Thrust models use the same bigger gearcase housing as the Mercury 150 FourStroke, but with an all-new 2.38:1 ratio ideally suited for pontoons and heavier boats. It's the first true oversized gearcase in the industry for outboards in this horsepower range.

We have one sittin in the showroom and it is a very nice rig. It does have the removable console option and will be a good seller.

Not impressed by their options list. No jp option,no tm option except a MG X3,no 9" graphs,no lighted storage option etc etc. Wheres all the options this boat was suppose to be available with that was hyped earlier in this thread??? Cheap trailer too btw,no step pads,no bow step. What a disappointing turn. Not sure why Nitro chose to go backwards on the trailer instead of forwards with perhaps a fiberglass single axle option with led and backup lights or even just a trailer like the Z6 had with diamond tread steppads upgraded with led lights. The center seat costs over 400 extra! So far the bad seems to outweigh the good. The only improvements seem to be the removable console option, the larger front deck storage lids with lift assist and larger graphs can be flush mounted at console and bow. I was hoping to see a padded deck option, lighted storage option, minn kota fortrex or ultrex option,at least 9" graphs as an option, stereo option, etc etc. Idk maybe there is a hidden option list somewhere lol. Maybe it was too much to hope for that they would offer "big boat" options for those who preferred or needed a "small boat".
