I have a 97 johnson 130 that the lower unit grenaded on. When I bought the boat the previous owner gave me an extra lower unit off a 97 115 Johnson Ficht. Does anyone know if I could swap the shift linkage and run it on the 130?
That's what happened when I pulled the plug.....don't think there's supposed to be a bottle of glitter in there.....or that much pressure....

Model numbers of each? Are they both 20" or 25"? Model numbers would really help.

You'll need to move both the shift rod and the drive shaft from the 130 over to the 115 case. Then set the shift rod height to the 130 specs.
Would that picture happen to be where you removed the drain plug ?
