    friend in bad shape

    Perhaps this would be better in the lounge, but since Mac and I always fished for bream and specks together, why not here. Actually he is the guy that got me back into this after 50+ years of bass only. Now it's about all I do. Anyway he found out last evening that he is stage 4 lung, plus neck and throat. Coupla weeks ago we were together with some other retirees (reported it here) laughing and carrying on, great time. Didn't catch the most that day, had a great time. I hope we get more opportunities. A good strong man of values and conviction. Never any tobacco, so that isn't it. Dunno what, just is.

    Prayers sent It's a tough fight and attitude goes a long way. I've been fighting stage 4 colon cancer for 16 months and I can attest that fishing is great therapy. Y'all keep on wetting a line together when possible and enjoy everyday in every way.

    Sad to report that my buddy, Mac, lost his battle this morning. Great friend, wonderful pal. Worked with him for 33 years, fished together since I don't know when. His fight looked to be headed in the right direction, then.... Thanks to all who offered prayers and thoughts.
