That solvent works best for old adhesive like if you peel up nonskid and it leaves residue
On silicone it def helps break it down but it wont get you out of the hours of scraping

In the background - working on benchtop rebuilds of bolt on components.
Glovebox trim sanded smooth and will be painted black
Hot foot was in rough shape:
disassembled, sand blasted, added new lighter spring,
bronze bushings added to pivot point to take out slop,
added adjustable forward travel stop
replaced seized rear travel stop
Also in the works - Replacement faceplate for trolling motor plug/trim rocker switch
Can anyone provide a source for what I think are discontinued hinges?
The closest I can find is similar shape but 3 hole pattern
Need 5 of them
Looking good!! Can't wait to see this one done.

Thanks, it has been a lot of work just in tear down and cleaning it up but its getting close to build time
Wet sanding is done on all white above rub rail
Gotta get the trailer out from under it and do the bottom next
Tried an experiment on the cowl to remove the red Nitro graphics
it still needs buffed but I think it turned out alright
The outboard came with a ton of parts- full wiring harness, nice steering wheel, hydraulic steering
Starting to sort through that stuff and prep for assembly
Got lucky with this random gauge bezel or whatever it is - it fits the outboard hose and existing hole in the hull
Yes looking good for sure
looking good, if we can be of service in anyway let us know.
Whats up BBC, a little New Years update..
It was getting too cold to work in the garage so added some insulation and a better heater.
Also tore out cabinets I hit my head on about 3 times a day
Got the trailer out from under the boat and have been wet sanding the bottom.
When the wet sanding is done, I'll finally get to repairing all the gel coat and fiberglass stuff.
Little chips here and there in the bottom all gotta be fixed
I was happy to have no major surprises where the trailer might have been hiding something
And then still working on restoring bolt on stuff on the side.
Got new fuse holders on order for the switch panel
Have not quite figured out what rockers I need, but those will be replaced too
i went with these guys when i had to replace some switches. Boat looks awesome!! Keep up the good work your gonna have one sweet ride at the end!
