    Astro 20 FDX jack plate

Any idea what size/brand jack plate would be best for my boat? Motor is a 93 Mercury 200 EFI

Majority go with 6-8". RapidJack is a favorite brand. Power poles will most likely sandwich a bracket between the plate and motor, so brand of plate shouldn't be a worry, just go with something you trust/like..

12"? Wow figured that might be too much stress on an older wood transom? Of course mine is still good. I've seen most recommend a 6", also an 8"

Beats me. was on the boat when I got it. it dosent have any stress cracks in the splash well even and the 200 XRI don't weigh a ton like the newer DFI motors do

Just saw your post on another thread. I installed a cmc ml-65 5.5” setback. It worked with the existing cables. I’ve got it about 3” below pad. I also installed a water pressure gauge and settled on a 24p trophy prop. I got more speed out of 25 tempest plus but it didnt have the hole shot.
