I first ran the Raker II (14.5 by 26P I think) it came with and could get 70mph with jack plate all the way down (don't know prop to pad) and trimmed at 65%. But I had to really be on smooth water and it would take a while to get there.

Then I tried a RX4 and I still get 70mph but it gets there much quicker and easier.

Update: I just got 72mph on the Raker II with the same load but water smooth like glass, no wind and much colder air temp at around 40 degrees.

    Motor: 2012 Etec 250 HO
    Jackplate: 8" atlas hydraulic
    Prop: 26 raker 2

Top Gps: 74.3 mph full tanks (very full), med load, 225lbs people, dual power poles, seats installed
    Average: 70mph @ 5800rpm

With the raker I run 69/70 no matter what load, the hole shot suffers with a heavy load but top end is still good. Also have a fury 25 that is my spare prop. Runs 71mph but hits the limiter to easily, would like to try a fury 26 next.

Notes: NO PROP WORK DONE, 87 - 92 degrees in late June, had a little more to unwind but ran out of lake.

Prop: Croxton 24 Razor XL, 2 out of 8 plugged,
Top Speed: 67 mph with tour load, 1.5 tanks fuel, 2 people, extra tackle, 12’ talon.
    RPMs: 5800-5900
November 24th, 60 degree air temp, Saint Johns river.

I could have trimmed it and jacked it up a bit more for 1 mph more but would get looser than I was comfortable with.

I have no idea what all my numbers are but top spd was about 60 mph with high wind spd at my back pushing me across 3-5ft rollers. Otherwise on a good day I can get 55mph all day long fully loaded full tanks of gas and live wells.

What RPM were you at with the stock set up. I’m running the same right now, vent holes open and only at 5200 RPM. I run a heavy boat with 2 high school team anglers. I can run up to about 58 MPH, but it’s been over 100 degrees in the afternoon. Thinking of going with the RX4 or the Scorpion 25p. Just looking at RPM’s I’m running to high a pitch for the load. Also slow to get up so I’m thinking the 25 will help.
