2012 Ranger z520 with Mercury Verado Pro 250

    Boat: 2012 Ranger z520
Motor: 2012 Mercury Verado Pro 250
    Jackplate: Slidemaster 6"
Prop: Mercury Tempest 24", stock plugs
Setting to Pad: 3 1/4" below pad
Top GPS Speed: 73.8 mph with full tanks, medium load, just me
Average GPS Speed: 72-73 with full tourney load
    RPMs: 6460 top speed RPM
Notes: Got it on the water for the break in and April 7th and 8th and the motor ran like a beast. Elevation of 4,413. So glad I went with the Verado. Once I get the prop dialed in and the motor height, the boat will fly. Still have some wrinkles to iron out on the idle, but over 800 RPM it is super smooth. Don't believe the Verado bashing on the net. This is a beast 4-stk. Will post more info as I play with setup.

Any suggestions to get more speed, looks like people are getting more out of there boats? I heard to switch to a 25p Fury or Tempest would make a big difference... thoughts?

One week later with 90 degree water temp and 100 degree air temp according to my

The asterisk is because I was on a different lake that had cooler water.

This was my first year with the boat and with another season's worth of seat time, I think there's a few MPH more to be had without BB work on the prop.
