    pad setting dont know
    Speed:45-50mph

    Boat: 2005 Ranger Z20
    Motor: 2005 ETEC 225 HO
    Jack Plate: 10" Slide Master
Prop: 26P Raker II. 27P Tempest Plus & 26P Turbo TXP
Setting to Pad: 2.75 below pad
Top GPS Speed: 73.4 MPH 1 man, low fuel
Avg. GPS Speed: 70.9 MPH full load w/ Raker, 70.5 Tempest, 67 TXP, 2 men
    RPMS: 5500

Notes: TXP best holeshot (3 seconds) & midrange, 67 mph very loose/slips at top speed, not enough stern lift. Raker II worked by Mark Croxton w/ vent holes - good holeshot (5 - 6 seconds), strong mid-range 70.9 mph top end, stiff steering above 65 mph. Tempest is basically the same as worked Raker II, feels a little better everywhere. Tempest is the best prop for this hull I've found so far.

Motor: 2006 Mercury Racing 250 XS
    Jackplate: none
Prop: Mercury Tempest 21", one plug removed
Setting to Pad: not sure, motor is in the top hole
Top GPS Speed: 60 (New Mexico) 67 (Green Bay, WI)
Average GPS Speed: 57 with full tourney load (New Mexico) 64 (Green Bay, WI)
    RPMs: 5800
    Notes:

    As of 09/23/08
Boat: 2006 Ranger 620 DVS (dual console)
Motor: 2006 Mercury Racing 250 XS 25" Fleetmaster gearcase
    Jackplate: Hydro Dynamics 8" Magnum
Prop: Mercury Tempest 23", one plug removed
    Setting to Pad: 3.5"
Top GPS Speed: not sure yet
Average GPS Speed: 60 with full tourney load 4,400 feet elevation
    RPMs: 5600
Notes: The jackplate seems to have improved my top end as I am able to get to 60 pretty quick...just not sure what my best top end will be as I have not been able to tweak the trim yet. Definitely improved performance. Switched back to the 21 Tempest after I had the plate set...hit 5800 RPM instantly...running the Fleetmaster gearcase my range is 5600-5800 not the sportmaster 6300. :(

that is a fast 115 H.P. I see a lot of numbers for the 150 H.P. boats that are a little high I think. I have never seen a 185 ranger run over 60mph gps. with a 150H.P.

    Ok here goes:

It is not a true bass boat but it catches the bucket mouth amazingly well! LOL,

2004 Ranger 620 DVS Fishermen Series
    2004 Evinrude 225 HO
    2005 Johnson 9.9 HP Kicker
    6" Hydrulic Jackplate
Full fuel and full gear with wife and 6 year old 60 MPH GPS @ 5600 RPM
1/2 fuel full gear and alone 64 MPH GPS @ 5600 RPM

It may have one or two MPH in her but I have never run it less than 1/2 full of fuel.
