Well, I can finally get around to posting this...

    1989 Ranger 350V
    1989 Mercury 150 XR4
    23p Powertech 3blade

5600 RPMs at 61.5 GPS with a full gas tank and T load bymyself - throw another guy in there and it falls to about 57-59

Once I add a jackplate I expect another 1-2 mph.

New the BBC, been reading all the good advice and trying to figure out best way to set up my boat. Have had the boat for some time now but never put any thought into setting up to get the most out of it. It's a Ranger, it rides good.

    Motor: 1994 Merc 200 xri
    Jackplate: None
Prop: Trophy plus 25 -2 big plugs, 2 small plugs
    Setting to Pad: 5" below
Top GPS Speed: 65+- half in both tanks, light load me only
Average GPS Speed: 63+- with full tourney load
    RPMs: 5800

Motor: 1988 Mercury 175 Black Max
    Jackplate: N/A
    Prop: Mercury Lazer II 23P
Setting to Pad: Need to check this...

Average GPS Speed: 62.4 w/ full tournament load, 2 anglers and full fuel load (36 gallons)

Notes: Boat has run great since purchase back in '88; once tried a 24P Protester prop, but only gained ~0.4 MPH... just not worth the investment, IMHO.

    Im thinking thats pretty good?

The day before with 2 - 1/4 tanks and going with the chop I hit 71.4mph (speed record for the boat) All this with a stock/dinged 25T1. What do you think?

I am considering going to a hydraulic jackplate for river fishing. This boat is fast enough for me. If I get a bigger garage someday, I will move up to a Z20 for more room. Like you, I have too much stuff! But, I love this boat!
