It seems like most other boat forums on BBC have a "top speed" sticky, so I think it's high time we start one here. So please, post your year / model / engine and any other info you feel is important (prop, load, etc).
My 719 ProXP w/ 225 SHO should be ready soon, and I was wondering what kind of top-end to expect out of it.

No screenshots but have hit 74.6 solo loaded and just hit 73 even with a partner. I almost made him get out to try for a better solo number

Jason do you run that 27 tempest all year long and was it a worked prop or out of the box??
That was the only prop I had. Ran it all year. It came on the boat, stock prop out of the box.

I was wondering the same thing i'm only seeing 74 mph with a 26 fury, atlas hyd jackplate,2 blades(power poles) and 4 batteries. What should i be expecting? I was thinking at least 76 mph ?

This week. 3 guys in the boat...all over 220, full tackle load, 1/2 tank gas, 73.2 on Wilson w/current.

We were in heavy wind today. White-caps and rollers that were 4-6'. Rough day on the water. Boat held up better than our backs.
2011 618 with 150 opti. 22 tempest + solo with half of BPS in it, 1/2 tank of fuel. 62.5 GPS.
Damn, Charlie! What kinda weight were you carrying? That seems like an amazing top-end for that rig. I had a 188VX Ranger (18'8" long) with a 175 Pro XS and 24 Fury and I could only get around 61 out of her solo. Of course, I didn't know anything about adjusting the engine height at that time either.... so I just figured that was the top end.Originally Posted by charliecfh
