I really don't understand the fuss over the livewells. IMO if you don't like them then dont buy the boat. The capacity is only 50% of your problem, the other 50% is the angler who is taking care of them. I bet there are.people.that have had 25+ lb stringers in the wells with no issue because they were watching.the fish and doing as they should as far as taking care of them.

Ive had 3 7# in mine but the divider had to be removed. You can do 3# in a split well. Don't forget the 16s are a tad bigger than the 15s. I am with you though, never lost a fish because of design. I have never had the divider in since day one either and don't fish draw. If I did I would get with co-angler and discuss the options of cull tags on the fish.

Not too familiar with the details on the skeeters but what is wrong with the livewells are they small in comparison to other brands? How big is each side?

Divided each side is roughly 14" deep x 13 high at bottom of drain hole x 15in wide. 16s' and newer are a little bit deeper and hold 2gal more.

That's interesting - I just measured my 2010 I class and its 17" wide, 13" deep and 16" long at the top and 19" long at the bottom. Sounds like they have gotten considerably smaller.

I have two livewells in mine but usually only use 1. If I get a new one I will take out the center divider anyway.
I have a fish care regimen (not very complicated) where I have never lost a fish. In south Texas summers with 100+ degree days that is something. Skeeter livewells have done the job so far.
