    Prop Question

For you guys with 920's with a 250 Pro XS, what kind of prop are you running? I was talking with a prop guy today who I've been told is very knowledgeable and he suggested I try a 25p Tempest. I'm currently running a 25p Fury.

If anybody has any experience running both props, any input on how the Tempest compared to the Fury would be great. I'm trying to figure out if anyone I know has a Tempest I could try out for myself but so far I'm striking out.

Normally it you're running a 25 fury you would go to a 26 tempest. Same pitch will run lower rpms than the fury. Holeshot won't be as good as the fury but top end may be a few more mph. I'm currently looking for a 25 or a 26tempest to try out and going to get cbaileys foil to help out with holeshot

I have a 26 temptest plus that I've run but I just got a 26 fury and seems to be a better prop and only turning 5600. Running 77 by myself with livewells full and powerpoles. I had a 25 fury and was turning 6k rpm and went back to the temptest turning 5800.

77 with wells full and poles is strong!

Thanks for the replies. I was running a 26p Fury and the top end speed was better but I feel like the 25 handles better all around.
I had the same experiences as Eufaula and running about the same speeds with the same set up. When I get my 25 back I'll mess around with it again and hopefully have a Tempest to try as well.
I'm not really having any performance issues but just seeing what others experiences are after getting the reference to try out the Tempest.

I'm not sure there has been much experimenting with props. Seems most everyone is so happy with the fury that there isn't many who try different ones.
