Merc Monitor - Dealer installed cost

I recently purchased a 2016 RT 188 with a Merc 115hp Fourstroke. I am thinking of having my dealer install a Merc Monitor.....any idea what I would be looking at as far as cost of the monitor and labor? I know all dealers are different, I just want a ball park so I can have cash in hand when I inquiry. Thank You

My dealer told me about 700-800 I thought that was a little steep.

Buy the monitor and NMEA 2000 starter kit from European Marine (best price I found). Install should be NO more than 2 hours labor.

It's honestly real easy if you buy it and decided to install yourself. Took me 1 hour and wasn't complicated at all. Hardest part was running the cable thru the boat. If you decide to go that way, definitely go thru Don at European. He will answer all your questions

Bingo! go this route. I second the hardest part was snaking the cable

Considering the parts are north of 500 then include labor and overhead, that is about right IMO.
