    Big mule deer down

    Got this buck yesterday evening after spotting him a long ways off. Did a long stalk with my brother giving me hand signals on which way the buck was moving. A 240 yard shot with the 308 put him down. This was a public land, DIY hunt. It was a long pack out and we got to the truck at 10pm

    Thanks guys. We have had a fun hunt here in Colorado. Have tonight and tomorrow morning to get my brothers tag filled. He's looked over numerous bucks, with only 3 he wanted to tag. The thick brush helped all three slip away without a shot fired. Had truck issues this morning as we were pulling out of camp, the front hub assembly went out. So after catching a ride to town, we finally got the part, back to camp and all fixed up. Heading out to an area we saw a good buck yesterday evening at last light.

    Hey congrats that's a beauty! I'm jealous always wanted to go get a mule deer just hard finding people to go for a week or two. Everyone my age I Hunt with seem to have those pesky things called kids lol.
