Checked my 3 cameras on last friday. Tons of doe and hogs but no bucks. However i have buck tracks on both of my Ponds just out of camera view! Dont understand why they are not showing up for the corn. Had a big 10 and several smaller bucks last year.

Speaking of "buck tracks". I'm now to a point where I can not decipher bucks from does using tracks alone. I saw tons of doe tracks on my property prior to my trail cam. Put a cam out and not one doe, just tons of bucks. I have seen does leave the dew claw print and I have seen bucks not leave one. Maybe I could learn something here?

Seriously? About the only way to tell a difference between a doe track and buck track is to ground check the deer that left em..any deer in soft enough ground is gonna leave their dew claw print and most when running do the same...It's what it's there for....now sheer size of the print goes a long way but you get some of these does that are 5+, they are going to have a big foot..

I just thought maybe I was missing something. Always willing to learn. I was just under the personal impression that one cannot decern the sex of a deer by tracks alone.

I've only ever been able to tell any difference in sheer weight and width of older bucks...but like I said, some older does have some big feet as well...won't be as deep but they'll be just as long and as wide...

You can just get down and smell the track...

Good looking bucks roddy! Is that wide dude with a hot doe already? On both of my properties I believe I already have at least one hot doe at each. Never seen mature deer chasing this early

Only little bucks were chasing this weekend, but the big boys were starting to cruise. I saw a couple from the stand and a couple more while glassing this weekend.
