So how do I find out what the sizes they are without buying 50 each that may not work? If I was able to see them in person it wouldn't take long to know if it will work or not. Is there anyone that has different sizes that they could put a micrometer on and post a pic for me to see??

This is the reason I suggested the lure-body mold. With that mold, you will be able to bend your loop after you pour.

You can make the eye large enough for your hook to go through.

On the other end of the wire you can put a dog-leg or small bend to keep the lead from slipping off the wire. I would put a dog-leg and make it short enough it will be i side the pour area.

That would be GREAT Thank You! I usually tie a 3/0 or 4/0 EWG for tubes if that helps determine the ring size to use....

Yes... That is the "0" SS sinker insert... The mold could be opened up a tad to accept the size 1 inserts... Only if your hooks wont fit, But I think they will

Personally I think this would be the best mold for you... If I had one, I would have poured you some of these as well...

    Looks VERY promising.

I think the modified drop shots are going to be the ticket but will have to rig a couple first to know. This one is definitely a strong plan B.

    Tube Sinkers

I have a few similar sinkers I bought on clearance years ago, made by Uncle Walts:

It is a little labor intensive, but I made some similar sinkers out of blank heads (left hooks out) poured in my tube jighead mold. Here are 1/8 oz., 3/16 oz., 1/4 oz., and 3/8 oz.:

I just flattened them and drilled a 1/8" hole in the top. I haven't had a chance to test them on the water yet...

You have NO IDEA how nice it is and I am not even close to being his neighbor!! LOL

It's really awesome that he poured these for me because I can do my testing without having to spend a lot of money on trial and error. I am getting very close to realizing what is going to work so that when I do order it will be right the FIRST time!

After a couple days fishing and testing here is what I have found:

-3/8 and bigger interferes with the hook when T'rigging a tube.
-finding the orientation of the eye is virtually impossible after dropping or shaking the weight in.
-the 1/32 does nothing. Same results by using a shorter insert and leaving the tube head thicker when shooting.
-#0 is pretty small when unrigging and trying to get a 4/0 hook back out, would like to try a #1

The flat shape is VERY important IMO because that is what enables you to feel the orientation so the eye can be located.
I used a pair of pliers and squeezed the end flat and inline with the eye enough so I can feel it inside the tube and know the position of the eye:

Crappy weather today and tomorrow so NO testing with the flattened weight for the next couple days.

I bet you could feel this hole in the head... Your thoughts?

I was looking pretty close at this one yesterday when making my last post and thinking the same thing and it appears that this would work perfect except in a production mold it only goes down to 1/2 oz.

That would be a lot of mold to buy for 1 or 2 sinkers that are on the upper end of what I use because my 'GO TO' weight is typically 1/8 oz.

Still leaning towards the drop shot mold that I can pour as a drop shot because our local Gander does not carry them so I am forced to mail order mine as well as a tube weight once I finalize the design.

...wonder how it would work to pour with NO eye, flatten, and drill or push an eye in after??????? wish I had a CNC to play with or someone would come up with a mold

You better look closer at the mold sizes. You don't need a production mold. This one would be perfect and give more choices.

I fish tubes this way and just use the cheap bell sinkers from Wal Mart. Works fine. Done it for years. Awesome way to fish a tube
