    Jeremy,
I got Alex to build me a skipping rod. I've got a few from different manufactures and this rod is the real deal. I compare everyone I have against the others. This rod glides my jig across the water effortlessly. I always wanted to thank you for steering me in his direction. Every rod I've ordered from him has been spot on.

    Thanks for the feedback!
Alex if you wrap a Promise 3 or a Zolo for that matter with the wynn grip material are you just wrapping over your standard grip material?

No. We would build using the true polymer grip.

An overwrap you can do at home yourself.

Is it safe assume that a factory done would be about the same diameter as a standard grip?

Winn grips are completely different grip designs than our standard ALX cork/eva grips. Most of the Winns seems to be a smaller diameter as they have more taper.

How much extra would the Winn grips be, roughly?

Curious what blank (or what it is closest to in the ALX line) he went with to build a skipping specific rod. I have a few rods that work well for skipping but feel maybe there is room for improvement.

I'd stay tuned for great things coming around the Classic...

Alex you mentioned some new rods around the Classic, any news on them? Also is it possible to order a Maestro with the same handle that is on the Boku line (not a fan of split grips)?

Yes, we can do any type of grip on a custom build. Full cork is easy to do.

We rolled out the ZOLO Skipper... and completely sold out between online orders and the first morning of the Classic Expo. We are building more now!

What is the difference between the Zolo Twitch and the Expert Kelly Jade rods other than the $30.00? Looking to use for walkin baits.

I have both, the twitch seems to have a lil softer tip, the Kelly Jaye is lil more power in the tip and the handle is shorter so when your working a bait the butt doesnt catch your clothes.

Twitch is going to excel at smaller jerks and poppers. KJ Jerkbait is size 110s and up.

The KJ Jerkbait uses a little different material in it and it costs a little more to produce as a result.

Looking for a rod that can handle large pike and saltwater redfish while throwing larger soft plastics but has to be 7’ so I can fit it in a rod tube. Any suggestions?
