Had a 175TXW for ~3 years that I thought it was the top dog until I fished out of my buddies tin Ranger and then I quickly realized it was time for a change. Besides I outgrew the boat pretty quick. Sold it in 4 days after posting. However, I would never consider one again after being in Ranger and now Vexus. If anything, I would go back to a tin Ranger but in a 198 or a X19 / X21 first. If it hurts peoples feelings, I apologize upfront but anyone that has been in both knows the build quality and fit/finish doesn't compare to any of the boats I referenced. All wood free. Just a fact.

Who is crying? You are honestly the biggest shit stirrer to hit this forum in quite some time. Nobody cares if a person sells a boat to buy something else and he wasnt a total dick about his reasons why like some people are. Im selling my tracker for something else too but its been a great boat and ill be a great boat for someone else finances allow for an upgrade so going to go for it. Its not cuz the boat is a pile of shit or anything its just older. My 11 year old tracker has held up not many other owners can say the same. Time will tell.

I have a Love Hate with the wood, yes it's out dated, BUT removed the wood and remove the Boat being able to have a flex point, My triton is all aluminum with no carpet Triton spray in Liner and I can show you flex cracks in the floor in the corner's there small and hurt nothing, but when my Transom had cracks and the Boat got shipped back to Triton they would not touch the little cracks in the corner's fixed the Transom and repainted and sent it back. I think a Lot of these all aluminum boat's down the road when changing carpet will find the same thing and you Or at least I do. have to wonder if the all aluminum boat's that are having hull cracks, if this is part of the reason.

Some boats still used wood on their decks.

Lund (Aluminum) Pro V Bass has no wood. No Lund models have wood in transom. Many have no wood in the floors... All have lifetime warranty on the Seams. Transoms, floors, decks.

pretty sure post is referring to floors/decks. I don't think ANY bassboats have wood in transom anymore.

    Thank you!

Exactly. I stated that in a couple of posts earlier, but I guess some do not read or comprehend.

My issue was buying a Tin Boat with No Wood, No Where! I live in a salt water environment and wood and carpet don't get along with Salt Water.

Lund, Crestliner, and others HAVE WOOD. Ranger, Xpress, G3, no wood, anywhere.

What other tin boat are TOTALLY wood free?

It’s 2019! Not 1989. Having wood in a boat is shameful.

I built the decks on my Tracker 1860 with aluminum frames and marine plywood decks. If I had access to aluminum sheets and a way to easily cut it I would have went that route. As long as the boat is kept dry when not in use the wood will last. When you run into issues is when the boat is left outside, exposed to the weather and uncovered.

There have been issues with some boats that when the aluminum decks are put down they are not secured correctly and the aluminum will pop in places. You will never have this issue with wood. Wood is also easier on you feet since it does absorb a little bit better. With aluminum decks you need to make sure the carpet is a good density or plenty of padding used.

For longevity aluminum definately is the way to go.

Again.... Lund Pro V Bass models have no wood. Also, the Lund Renegade Mod Vs have zero wood in them. (Lund has a tremendous number of models)
