triton tr 196 with mercury 175 verado

I have a 2006 tr 196 triton with 175 verado ,struggle to get on plain with a full load and livewells filled, I am running a 23'' pitch tempest , 4'' setback, I have spent hours on vent hoes, different props , I have weeks and hundreds of hours messing with this thing, any thoughts,, help-help I am at 6,400 rpm top of the range,

Boy, I wonder if you don't have some kind of blower problem. I have a 20' tin boat with a 150 Verado, 19P Tempest +. 3 batteries up front, 3 guys and a full tank (40 gal.) and mine just jumps out of the hole. My engine is low and I may raise it to get more top end R's and speed, currently at 5800 & 48 MPH. I tried a 19P Enertia, but lost top end and had no better hole shot. Good luck.

Ches where did you get a 150 verado? You sure it's not a regular 150 4 stroke.

I have the exact same setup. Tr19.6 with Verado 175hp. Tested this weekend. 24 tempest plus and did 63mp but the chine was bad. Put on a 25 trophy plus and lifted the motor. Holeshot was gr8 top end 61mp, but the best was the handling. No chine and the overall handling was amazing!
