    Factory Tour (with pics)

Well I took a day off work and headed over to Tullahoma to see where Phoenix's are born and I could not have picked a better day. Met up with Jeff (great tour guide) who took my wife and I around answering all our questions and explained the whole process in great detail. It was fascinating to see what goes into making these hand-built rigs. The pin-striping will blow your mind. I knew the 618 I ordered(Thanks Junior!) would more than likely be in the mold so I was probably not going to see the color scheme I chose. Well as we walked in I saw some purple and there she was. Sweet! The hull was still in the mold so I was thinking at least I got to see half the boat. As we were getting ready to leave one of the guys stopped Jeff and told him if we could wait over lunch they would pull the hull and we could be there for the birth. Can you say lucky?

Could not be happier with the Phoenix experience so far from interactions with Junior at Sportsman Center to the factory tour today. First class operation. Anyway....here are the pics:

I could smell the fiberglass as I looked over the boat pictures. Great looking color combo.
I didn't see the chopper gun in the shots though, Oh that right they don't use it on there hulls. LOL

    They're a great boat!
    Congrats

Nola not a big fan of purple but the combo you got looks good. Purple Consoles?

You should have done what I did when I saw mine in that state......took a magic marker and signed my name on the inside of the hull never to be seen again
    But its there

I really like the colors you have and, if I remember right (maybe someone else??), your kids help pick so the more special. My youngest likes purple too so this color combo is not out of possibility for me after seeing yours.

Great looking boat! Jeff is a great guide and great customer service man! I have ordered six boats since '04 and I've never been able to make it to a plant to see any of them in that state (toured plants, just not as my boats were built). You're lucky. Welcome to the family.

Great job on the pics, thanks for sharing them. Jeff took me and my wife on our plant tour as well. I couldn't have asked for a better guide.

    Good looking color scheme!

forgot to mention that I liked that purple as well.

Just redid my scheme to see what a bit of purple added would look like.

    Re: Factory Tour (Chad2002xrd)

Thanks for all the positive comments. It's good to be an almost member of the Phoenix clan. These next few weeks waiting on the boat to be finished will be brutal now that I know exactly what is on the way.

Purple Consoles? Nope the consoles will be gunmetal. I toyed with the idea of purple consoles.

I fish on Ft. Loudon all the time. Holler if you see me out on the water. Hopefully in a few weeks I'll be breaking the motor in there and on Douglas Lake.
