    Garmin networking questions.

I’m setting up a new Garmin system on my boat. I have a 126sv at the bow and a 93sv at the helm. I have an RJ45 cable between the 2 units and a GLS black box networked to the 126sv. First question is do I need to do anything with the blue and brown wires on the power cable pigtails? Also is there a quick way I can tell if they see each other? I had to tear into my boat in order to run the RJ45 cable and would like to know before I put everything back together. I have used the 93 for a few months now but the 126 has never been powered up. Thank you

Brown and blue wires are not used for your setup
Once you have both units and GLS up and running use active captain to load latest software
Once that is done create a waypoint on one and see if it pops up on the other and you now know if the network is functioning

The smaller set of wires are for a NMEA setup.
If your just networking the two units you should be setup. they are very easy to set up.
The Active Captain App is very easy to use.
