For the guys with RAM issues, I have 10" units that do not budge on my Large RAMS (2.25 ball diameter), ever since I started

Flush mount simply looks better, but I won't do it. I simply will not cut a hole in the dash for something I am going to change every few years and the shape is going to change. Yes you can cover the original hole with a filler panel but I think that looks shoddy. I mount my electronics on Balzout mounts and leave the dash for other things like gauges and Merc Monitor. Things that use standard hole sizes and I will keep for more than a couple years. I currently have my Merc Monitor dead center of the dash and I like it that way.

Troy--you must have you some Popeye forearms! All kidding aside, I never had any problems with breaking them. Do you have the large size? (2.25in diameter?)
    Just curious.

Thanks guys! I ended up running 4 units so I'll have units both flush and ram mounted but I'll probably use a product like the one from TH marine.

I use RAMs piece of mind knowing my units are secure either in my truck, hotel, or house and not just sitting in the elements etc. Cost too much $$$$ for me

For the money, these are hard to beat. Currently running one on the bow with a Helix 12 attached and it doesnt move.

I have the 2.25 inch ram mount with the short arm on my Helix 12 and it does not move. Guess I am lucky.
