    Test Drove F215

Ok guys I went to D&D Marine here in N. Alabama today and picked up the F215 and took it to the lake for a test run. It is a great running boat very stable runs great handles boat wakes really well. It was almost dead calm on the water so I wasn't able really check the ride in some rough stuff. I filled up the live wells and had a half tank of gas and ran it up to 71mph and still had a little more in her. It has the 250 SHO GEN2 on it. I feel if you run the Merc. you could get in the mid 70's completely loaded down. I will test run the F205 when it comes in and see how it does. I will be ordering one in Dec. either one of these with the 250 Merc. If you have any questions I will answer them the best I can. More updates to come..

I live about 20 min away from their plant in Newberry, SC. Do you know the specs of the 205. The only thing I dislike is the way the rod lockers open

The F205 still has 99 inch beam. 20'5" length. Same stringer system. 250 HP rated same live well system. Fuel tank 47-48 gallons instead of 50.
The rod lockers open the same as F215. Putting a stainless steel tether will only allow the lid to open partially while on the water and rods can be strapped on top with no problems.

I really like these boats, I just really don't like the look of the console. I'd like to drive one.

Go there and meet Stephen Waller. I went a few weeks ago and got the full tour. Was very impressed with the 205. Was able to get in one and it was pretty roomy. I am 6'4 and had plenty of room. As far as the bilge area goes, I was impressed how easily accessible every thing was. Only 4 screws to remove the access plate. All of the pumps use quick release connectors. You can easily change out a pump in less than 5 minutes.

I did see a 215 back in June and didn't like it to be honest. But the new 205 is pretty sharp in my opinion.
