    Rigging electronics..

I'm riggin up my z9 with 2ea plasma 1198's. both on a 2.25 inch ram mount. Curious how you guys are running your wires from the back of the unit to under the console? so far I'm running wires through some wire loom (rod glove material) and running it from behind the unit to in front of the dash then up and under the console.. Anyone got any better/neater ideas for a ram mount unit at the console?

I drilled a hole in the little spot between the gunnels and the seam of the console. then ran throught where all the other wires are coming from and back to the batteries. The HB came with a little clam to hide the hole and everything. works out nice.

That is exactly how I ran my wires for the 1197. I didn't see a need of drilling another hole. What mount did you go with, I ordered a 2.25" ball with a 2x3" rectangle base and mounted to the gunnel.

Mike look up Mark Miller at Polyfab on here, he makes a ram mount base that allows you to feed the wires under it. I bought one for my Z7, but I don't have a flat spot to mount it!

That looks good Ryan. My older Z7 does not have many flat surfaces on it. One day I will have a new one!

Thats what I was thinking as well Ryan. Thats exactly where I have my ram base mounted as well. That Poly fab spacer thing is looking like the way to go. Gotta drill tho :(. I can't find the Polyfab link on bbc? Anyone find it?

Here is the link to the one I used. I'm not sure if it will work for the 2.5 inch ball. I have the standard size ball.

Here is the website link for Polyfab. http://polyfabplastics.com/ Mark Miller is the guy.

I should be a frickin' detective, here you go: http://www.selectmarineproducts.com/

If you don't track him down holler and I will make you a deal on mine! I had Mark's card around here somewhere but who knows where it went.
