    time for a steering change

    I currently have the invisable touch steering now that I just can't fix.Guess I'm gonna have to buy a new steering system.What do ya'll recommend for a 2001 20xdc?

    SeaStar only hydraulic steering I've ever owned, have the new SeaStar Pro on my new one

    OK...so Bullet will be the best place to get it?I ordered a boat cover from there and it took forever to get it after multiple calls.

    Does the seastar system have a electric pump for power assist?

    No it does not. Its simple and tough. The hc6345 cyl is rated for hi perf boats

    Could I just bypass the pump on my system now?Think that's the problem.

    Youre the only dude i know of with an i touch and ive never laid eyes on one even working at a boat dealership so i have no idea. What do you have to lose?

    LOL...The guy I bought the boat from said it was installed in the boat when he bought it new.The problem I'm having now he says it's done it since the boat was new.Heck I'm gonna try it before I spend money on new one.

    I have seen a couple drag boat friends tried the invisible touch steering systems ways problems, they all went back to either seastaf 6345 or wing plate.

    Dump that junk IMO

    Hey i was in the seastar section this morning getting a tilt helm for a guy and seen some kind of power assist for seastar. Couldnt read about it then got busy and forgot. Mine works fine like it is but they got something

    Well all i can say is ive never seen one and i work on boats with sea star systems all day. I know i wouldnt opt for it even if it was $30 thats how good the sea star is by itself
