www.ride with a LEGEND.com trailer light - what color should it be?

Guys, how long is the http://www.ride with a LEGEND.com trailer light lasting for you guys? Both of mine are out and I was going to replace them and just so happened I ran into a guy with a Legend last night and he said his only lasted a yr on his '09. I have no idea what the replacement cost is, but I don't want to have to replace this light every yr or 2.

I talked with EZ loader and the lights are $101 each.
The earlier lights had issues, then optronics redisigned them and he said the ones made in the last couple of years should last.

EZ loader is at the Legends of Lake Fork event every year. At that event they will replace the light free of charge. They put a new one on mine this May. They also checked every other bulb to see if any needed replacing. I highly recommend going next May since you live in Texas. Legend also takes awesome care of your boat while you are there, free of charge.

What color are these lights suppose to be. Ez loader hooked me up and gave me the lights at a big discount, but they light up in a baby blue color. I thought these things would be amber in color.

Guys....., I hate to disappoint, but the www light is not actually an LED. There is no bulb to replace.
Instead this is a Chemical light. The chemicals inside heat up and actually "glow" rather than illuminate. More often than not, they do not light up due to a issue with the connection or wires rather than the light itself being defective. A crimp or a bare spot in the wire will reduce the amps just enough to keep them from "heating" up enough. This is especially promiment in trailers with the swing away tongue.
I would start by checking the trailer harness first before you purchase a replacment.
    Hope that helps!!!!!

Hello all... This is my first post.... Glad to be a Legend owner.... I noticed one of my "Ride with Legend" trailer lights were out... Mine is rivited into the frame. Should I drill out the rivits to have a look inside? Any suggestions are appreciated.

    Re: www.ride with a LEGEND.com trailer light (Royer856)

Try following Deana's advice first, but if you have the off white colored frame and not the chrome colored frame around the lights the problem is likely the light it self according to EZ loader. EZ loader told me there was a problem with the earlier design and it was fixed in the last revision (that has the chrome colored frame)

I took mine off and tested them and they didnt work. I installed new ones and so far so good.

    Welcome!

Don't drill those out. I have an 07 199 also and my lights have both gone out at different times and would come back on then go out again. I haven't replaced them but did change out the 5 pin connection. Both mine are working now and have been since I changed out the connector. SO, my advise is check your connections.

I noticed one of the male connection pins on the plug is filed down due to grinding on the road while not plugged in I will change it out and see what happens. Thanks for the help...
