    Deck Padding

Does anyone know how many xb21 bass sports were built with the extra padding? I'm looking at one, and want to be sure it isn't one of the boats that had the extra padding before I make the drive.

Mine has the new style padding but just on front and rear decks.
Makes a big difference being on it all day.

What's wrong with the padding and what is the difference between the new style and the old style?

Nothing is wrong with it. A few years back they were using 3/8" think padding that added a little extra weight. I believe what was used in mine was 3/16" which is plenty thick to add some noticeable comfort.

nothing wrong with the old or the new..
there is a long story that goes with one certain rig that had a lot of the old padding.

I don't know what padding company Allison uses but, the company I bought my deck padding from has a Allison XB-21 on the product page. I used Pro-Tech Mats and there standard thickness is 1/4". If this is who Allison uses I would assume there deck mat is also a 1/4" thick to.

K-Dawg you would assume correctly as of now but when my last boat was built they used 3/8 padding and they claimed it added 200 lbs to the boat.
