Lay a wet warm paper towel on it for a few minutes to loosen bugs/dirt/etc.
Then spray on Original Bike Spirits Cleaner/Polish in the pink can, its the exact same stuff as the old Honda polish, they used to make it for Honda, and wipe off/buff with a micro fiber towel.

You can also use Lucas Slick Mist or Brillianize. These are the two that I use on my Goldwing windshield.

Thanks guys for the information. I have some of the Honda polish and some of Mark Zona's Marine Wax as U Dry polish, which might do the same thing as Lucas Mist, recon? I just replaced the windshield on my Gold Wing which was scratched so badly you couldn't see through it. Of course it is a 1993 yr. model and was probably due even though the rest of the bike looks new as it has been garaged all its days.

I just lay a wet bath towel over it for a few minutes and than wipe it off with a micro-fiber cloth. Works great--and no scratches.

Don't recommend the Wax as You Dry for windscreens. Read the SDS it contains Naptha which is VERY detrimental to you plastics.

You might want to try using a cotton diaper instead of a micro fiber, the micro fiber can hold little particles of grit and scratch the windshield. You could also get a F-4 windshield, it wont scratch. That's what I have on my wing.

I've always used the orange bottle of new finish polish, and a soft rag. On my Goldwing since day one.. from dealer to home, then used it on windshield.. makes rain roll off like rain x. Bugs don't stick as bad.. I don't make it a habit to ride in rain lolo.. But caught a drencher when at a Gold Wing rally at pigeon forge, heading back to Knoxville Motel.

FYI to get bugs off spray on some Hydrogen Peroxide, let set for about 5 minutes and they just wipe off.

Lemon pledge works wonders on the windshield and chrome. I don't use it on the paint beak cause it takes the wax off.
