The t-box only appeared, if I recall correctly, with the Z520C series, so later-model Z boats. I wanted one for my 2022 Z519, and to search the part number we had to input a hull ID from a current-production Z520 or Z521 [not a listed option for a Z518 or Z519, but it does fit]. I’m 99.9% sure that one was not made for a 520vx. As to whether one would *fit,* you’d have to measure the passenger footwell space in a newer Z520 or Z521 and compare that measurement to the footwell space in your boat.

I would like to put one on my 521VX too if it would fit. The extra space seems to be there between the foot rest and the ice box. Is the T box a drop in type of deal with the internal box and the tilt out lid...... in other words. If I cut the hole could this just be fit into the opening?

The t-box is not a box at all. It is a lid that exactly fits across the footwell opening of boats for which it is designed. This lid simply pivots forward and has a narrow opening at top.

When I was at the dealer I thought I heard them say there were two sizes. At any rate, you could easily just make one if they don't make one for your boat. It's just a piece of plastic with a stainless hinge. You wouldn't have the etched "Z" but you could install any number of Ranger decals or other of your choice and it would look fine.

I’ve been waiting to get one since Augusta from my dealer. Still don’t have it. Was going to put on a 2021 518. Can you provide the part number and I will try to get it from ranger. Thanks.

I do not have a part number, since I got mine from my dealer. It took a couple of months for mine to come in, because it was backordered [at Ranger] through most of the winter. There *are* two sizes, but my understanding is that the smaller size is not for bass boats.

Thanks for posting pics. Do you think it would be beneficial to add rubber washers between the hinge and boat so the door can lay flat and eliminate tension to avoid the screws being pulled out eventually? I bought a t box but I'm hesitant to install because I feel the hinge being lifted up when I hold it in place and open it all the way. Thanks for your input

Mine lays flat on the carpet. I’d be worried about the screws pulling out with the way it sits in the photo.
