    No more front live well

Finally getting around to removing the front live well and converting in into storage-like it should have been in the first place!
I drilled out all the rivets that was holding in the live well "tank"-for the lack of a better word. I have no intension of ever converting it back into a live well, so I had to cut the tank in half to get it out.

I removed all the fittings from the drain and the aerator

After removing the pumps I have wires to the switches already there for future led lights.
I plumbed the drain the the fitting in the side of the boat to allow water to just pass through. I found it's just easier that way since I was finding a hard time locating exactly what I wanted. I plugged the aerator hose and that keeps the water from coming back into the boat.

I cut and fitting the floor in and next is carpet.

The drain hole on the right in the back of the boat has also been plugged. So now no unwanted water will enter. Still a work in progress.

Looks like it is going good. I do not know why they do not let peopl order them with or without the front livewell. Some folks want it and some folks don't. To a lot of people it is a deal breaker either way.

It wasn't hard at all. I talked to the Tracker dealer where I bought it to see if they had a schematic of all the plumbing but they did not. I poured water down the hoses and with compressed air, blew through the lines watching where the water came out. Kind of ghetto but it worked.

Nice work! You just gained a lot of storage and it probably didn't cost you very much to make it happen.

Nice job. Same thing as I would have done... Bet it works great.

As a side note, I was told the other day that Tracker use a robot to do their welding. That doesn't look like robotic welding to me at all. Looks like the machine was set too high or the guy lingered in some spots too long too. I would not let that pass if I was doing quality control.

Look great man. You should route that front hose to the cockpit, so you can pee while there without anyone even noticing.....

I've thinking of doing the same thing to mine. I truly don't need the.livewell up front. Just a little nervous with doing it.
    Looks good.

Maybe I dont understand why you are removing the livewell tank.
Looks like a good storage box already w/a track at top to keep rain
water out. Why not put a plug in the incoming and outlet and call it good.

Now, I have almost twice the storage space. I will seal up the rivet holes with small flat head bolts and sealant. It will have a drain on the lip where the lid closes just like the other storage boxes. I also have another matching handle that locks.

    Great pics! Super job!

I never understood why they did not put a live-well there that maximized the space. If it was insulated around the whole tub it would at least make a nice cooler!
