    Need New Switch Panels

Looking for some dash switch panels for a 2005 Champ 198. The switch panels on the dash are the same for a 196 or 198. Mine are broken and I would like some new ones.

Is that an early 05 model? HIN would tell month built. They did change console styles not long after the first 05s came out. My 2005 198 does not have an adjustible timer switch.

Careful torquing them down. Would almost think about using rubber washers under them to decrease the vibration and torque. Seems that the design had great intentions just didn't plan on the stress created on them from being so thin. Doomed to split and crack.

Totally agree!! When whoever molded them built the mold, it would have been easy to build up a shoulder on the back side of the hold to match the outer rolled edge. The shifter cover on my 210 cracked all out. I was able to send it to Mark Miller at Poly Fab and he cut me a solid piece that works great. If you didn't know it was different, you'd never notice it.

That looks OEM! Use an adhesive remover to take the warning sticker off if the original plate and re-adhere it to the new plate.
