Any one on here using the Lowrance hook series, if so which one . I was in BPS yesterday looking at the hook 7 and was told that it has side imaging , if so which one has It as I cannot find any information on them to that effect. I don't really trust there sales people.
The hook series is basically the old elite series, so it has down imaging but not side imaging. The new version of the Elite series have side imaging, down imaging and touch screen.

My new boat has Lowrance Hook 5 on it but I know absolutely nothing about it yet. My new boat hasn't been in the water yet.
You got your answer, but I have a Hook7 and can confirm that it in fact does not have side imaging.

Gonna tell straight from the hip, the Hook 7 doesn't have SI it has GPS, 2D and DI. It does come with a mapping chip, have them check the box before you buy it to make sure it is the correct one for your area.
Also the hook units cannot be networked...no sharing waypoints between two units.
