Few of us having friendly conversation over what was consider to be the best 45 out there. Keep in mind there are a lot of people who will not deny nor argue that the 1911 has been one of the favorites for almost a century now. There are a lot of other handguns out there that could be excellent service/combat handguns (G21 for example).
but here was the criteria;
Has to be hammer fire.
Has to have either external safety or capable of decocking for safety.
10 round capacity or more.
Dual Action capable.....no SAO allowed. Can be LEM or DA/SA.
And party.....Highly reliable!
I had 2 choices.....either an HK 45 or the FNX 45.
Others that came up were the USP, P227, CZ95.....I know Ruger made a duty 45 but can't remember the model.
Few of guys are former military and some were law enforcement. They all still liked the 1911 but sometimes they can be finicky or small parts break often enough.
What's your thoughts?
