Anyone removed rod organizers from rod locker?

I have a 619, and I can only fit around 12 rods in the coangler side locker (other on is full of misc stuff). Thinking about taking the organizer out and just use my stick jackets so I can put 20 or so in there. Pros, cons...?
    thanks

if you want to carry 20 rods take tubes out. I carry 17 in my 919 with tubes with socks, many of the rods are micro guides,
it only takes 3 minutes to take them out and try it.

Take them out. Took mine out. I don't really care for the tubes.

I also have a 619.....take out the 4 screws, lift out the tubes, you won't regret it. Mine are sitting in the basement gathering dust for 3 years now.

Did y'all leave the rod butt holders in or take them out too?

,,,same here on my 819. Very easy to do with a few easily accessible screws. Once done, the small passenger side locker is open all the way to the front through the main locker.

Dumb question. Doesn't removing the tubes and leaving the butt holders in, put a lot of stress on the rod tips?

The butt holders and tubes are removed separately

Leaving the "Butt Holders" keeps your reels from banging on each other.

I also took the rod tubes out the day I brought it home.
Never had an issue with pressure on the rod tip.. can't be any harder than reeling a 4 pounder ..
