After searching and chatting with some folks around Townsville, NC and Hibernia campground found 2 sources for getting propane gas tanks filled. One is at the intersection of Stagecoach Rd and hwy 39. The other location is at the Ace Hardware in Clarksville, Va. The location in Clarksville is as you enter main street in Clarksville on hwy 15 turn left ACE Hardware is on the right about a mile past Food Lion. Both locations are about as far from Hibernia Campground.
Brewer cycle in Henderson also fills tanks, its on Norlina rd in N. Henderson off Hwy 1
JFYI Flying J Truck stops have propane, in your future travels. Get the Pilot/Flying J RV Card, its free gets 3 cents off gas, a little more off for Diesel. a discount on propane. Every pilot or flying J restaurant except ones with McDonalds gets a discount.. and ones with Denny's Resturant get a 10% . and use in travel store purchases builds up points also.. Used to get them in fuel desk,but hear have to get direct from the truck stop Head Quarters Now and they mail them to you.. the ones for just cars available at fuel desk. but its for 3 cents off gas and store buy build points towards free coffee
There is a propane finder app that is pretty good.
