Skeeter and Mercury

I'm curious to know if there's such a thing as Skeeter with a Mercury.
I guess it's possible right?

i have seen several with mercurys specially ones powered by the fail HPDIs.. they go back with pro xs's

I'se seen older ones with Merc/Mariners. If you re-power or order a new boat without a motor, you can install a Merc yourself. I know the factory won't send you one rigged like that though.

About this time last year there was a rigged ZX21 with a 250 ProXs on here. http://www.bbcboards.net/showthread.php?t=542417 They exist quite often especially the older ones. My first Bug was a SS90 that had a Johnson that was replace by a Merc. Personally I would not want a newer Skeeter with a Merc. The SHO was designed around the newer Skeeter hulls and meant to preform best with that combo.

Exactly what he said^^^^ Skeeter is owned by Yamaha ... Has been since 1996..

I have a 1990 SD125. It came with an 80 Merc from the factory. I bought the boat with the blown powerhead and installed an 03 90HP 2 Stroke Merc.

I have a 2005 ZX250 with Mercury 250 XS was bought new with Mercury

A guy in my club has a zx202 with a 150 Merc.........thing hauls ass for a 150.

My 03 ZX225 has an 09 ETEC on it. I'm happy with my set up. Although the SHO is a sweet motor.

At one of the classics back when skeeter started as a sponsor and boats were still furnished, some of the guys were in skeeters with Mercurys... if I remember correctly, KVD was in one..

As late as 1999 there were still Skeeters rigged with Mercurys from the factory. If I recall a few were used in the Classic that year.
