Feels completely awesome to pan the trolling motor around and see bottom profile real time. It's unreal when you see the moving dots and then you throw your bait in there and watch reactions. Sometimes I saw a whole lot of churning and moving dots and it was very very cool. It did help me catch more fish in several ways. My range doesn't seem to be that good right now. I don't really remember seeing further than 50' out. It doesn't seem to give bottom profile out past 20 or 30'. I haven't touched any settings yet.
I'm convinced that the ps21 or 31 is the right transducer for all but those who fish deep below their boat. I'm running it through a 70s.
