    Champion Owner Manuals

Does anyone know for what years Champion used the same owners manual? I have copies of my old ones from 82, 85 and 91. They look the same from page to page. There isn't a lot of information there except for the wiring diagrams but but the diagrams and color codes are the same in each.

I wouldn't think there would be any major updates to the schematics or color codes unless there was a major change in the hull. It is much easier to keep the wiring harnesses consistent then to muck up the works and change colors every year.

That is kind of what I was wondering. When did those changes occur. It may even be that hull changes wouldn't require changes in the wiring harness. They could have added a few new leads for additional equipment in newer boats but did the basic harness change?

I doubt there were many changes at all till Champion was moved to TN but once suppliers changed anything could happen. That's where my information becomes really sketchy.

The older our Champs get the less info there is out there. Manuals don't seem to follow the boats much any more. That's another reason BBC is such a great resource for Champion owners.

Don't know if the pic attached but there should be a cover shot of a 91 manual for comparison.

I am looking for a 1991 champion bass boat (184 dcr) owners manual and
a owners manual for a Johnson 150 fast strike outboard motor. I have inherited
the boat/motor recently. I am also looking for maintenance/repair manuals.
any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Should I send it out to Tec2 in Algonac, MI? Think that will get there or would you like it emailed to you? An email address would be needed for that.

I'll get the owners manual out to you today. They are pretty generic. Which model of Johnson 175 do you have?

Thank you ChampioNman. Johnson GT 175 V6. You wouldn't happen to know where I can find a motor cover for this engine would you? Some fiberglass busted off the top of the engine cover.

    Thanks again for your help

I sure wouldn't but the GT 150/175's will work.

Correctomundo ... the basic functions I think are standardized across the industry. I haven't really dug into some functions on the later boats where you have multiple livewells and such. I know the harness that Champion used for the MegaLink to Rocker conversion has a bunch of colors. It was obviously designed for multiple brands of boats, it has dual live well fill and recirc wires & connectors, extra wiring for rear lighted compartments and extra aux switches.
