I can't help you where to put the pumps but i was wondering why you are switching from talons to poles? The reason I ask is because I am going back and forth between the two
The talons after a little while the brackets get loose and rattle drive me nuts.
look in the maintenance section for mounting ideas
I have a Bobs hyd jp, so it & one of my pp pumps are mounted under the splash well. The other is mounted beside batteries. Hope this helps

I mounted my pumps under the cover in the splash well.
I mounted a pair on a friends boat and moved the battery trays all the way back and had just enough room to mount them there on the passenger side
