Morning all, I am looking to pull my fuel tank out of my Stratos next winter to replace the livewell hoses etc. Does the fuel tank come out through the back hatch or was it installed before the top of the boat was put on? I am thinking it will go out, but haven't tried or done one before. The tank is almost the entire width of the opening with maybe 1" of clearance total. Thanks in advance.
I have a '99 283 and mine will come out of the back hatch. It won't lift straight out, you have to roll toward you it as you pull one corner out. Its a little tricky, but it can be done.
Do know if this helps I've got a 93 264, I've removed a few times all I do is unhook hoses and tilt it out it's tight but it will come out

I have a 96 288 Stratos and I tried removing my tank out through the rear hatch, and I couldn't do it. There may be a way, but I didn't figure out how to!
