Map Question

I have three 7610 XSV going in the new boat. Do I need to buy any map cards?
i figured out I can't use any but Garmin products and I'm a bit disappointed about ( didn't do my homework)that but it's not clear to me what comes preloaded and what I need.
Question 2 is will QuickDraw update the loaded maps or do I make my own maps with SD card?

Your 7610's will all come with pre-loaded Lakeview HD maps and Bluechart maps. They are pretty good as they are - if your local lakes happen to be mapped. You can check out which lakes in your area have what kind of mapping detail here:

You can buy upgraded map cards if you want the extra features they give - autopilot guidance, satellite views, 3D fishing views, etc. You don't get any extra coverage as far as extra lakes or extra depth info.

The Quickdraw software will save the new maps to an SD card in the 7610. The maps you make can be overlaid onto the existing built-in maps., but they are saved in separate files.
