Help with instalation (DIY)

Hi guys, I'm mounting my garminDV on the bow of my boat myself. When hooking the unit to the power source I noticed there are two cables (one brown and one blue) that do not have where to hook them up to existing connections. Does anyone know where these cables are to be connected? I had an old Black and White Lowrance upfront. Thanks

You didn't say which model you have, but those are probably the NMEA0183 wires. If you have VHF radio or some other external device that talks over NMEA0183, you would connect those wires. Other wise, just tape over.

If you have another compatible Garmin on the console you connect the blue wire from one unit to the brown wire on the other unit. And vice versa.
