I have a Champion 187 with a 2004 Johnson 175 (J175GLSRM) with a Hot foot installed. The cable mounting on control box let go and the replacement parts aren't working. Basically, the forward/rear control cables are just sliding and not shifting the motor. Anyone know of a good replacement for the entire remote control, and/or where I might look to pick one up?

I was looking at this one. It's hidden except for the shifter. Don't know if that's what you have. I have a 2001 Johnson Seahorse and 2000 champ. On boats.net
Is the control mounted inside the wall, or outside the wall? I have a like new Rude control that mounts outside.
I got my flush mounted setup from Mike aka Pennman. All used but works great and got a killer deal. He probably has more.
There are anchor clamps on the plate that hold the black round knob in place to keep it from moving. It is possible you have a broken knob also. Is the shift handle gray plastic?
